Where demand grows, and who serves it

Three parts are ready for the United States, and two for South Korea. More markets follow.

Which kinds of US consumer spending grow in 2026, who the largest sellers in them are, and which of those sellers Bitrefill's US store does not sell yet.

Scorecard

One row per growing kind of spending below. Each cell: what Bitrefill sells, and what it could add.

Growing kind of spendingBitrefill sellsGaps it can addCards shops like Bitrefill cannot sell

Strong Gap Neutral or none

Key take-aways

  1. CVS is the biggest gap. It sells more than Walgreens, which Bitrefill does sell, and nonprescription drugs are among the fastest-growing kinds of spending. Its card is used in its stores.
  2. Clothing has four ready gaps. Ross, Urban Outfitters, JD Sports and Dillard's all sell e-gift cards, and clothing spending grows faster than spending overall.
  3. Sephora is the beauty gap. Bitrefill sells Ulta, the larger beauty chain, but not Sephora, which also sells an e-gift card.

Flag worth mentioning

  • Some large, growing sellers have a gift card, but the way it is sold keeps it off shops like Bitrefill:
    • Physical or mailed cards only: Bob's Discount Furniture, Rooms To Go, Arhaus, Living Spaces, Hobby Lobby, O'Reilly.
    • Members only: Costco.
    • TikTok's own balance: TikTok Shop.

Scorecard

Key take-aways

  1. CVS is the biggest gap. It sells more than Walgreens, which Bitrefill does sell, and three other crypto shops list its card.
  2. Rivals already sell cards Bitrefill lacks. Sephora, Expedia and Sears are in stock at CoinGate, and three shops list charity cards.
  3. Nobody sells Ross or the other growing clothing chains yet. Ross, JD Sports, Dillard's and Urban Outfitters all sell e-gift cards; the first crypto shop to add them has them alone.

How many people visit each shop from the US?

Bitrefill gets the most US visitors on the figures found: more than four times Coinsbee. CoinGate has only a search figure, for its whole company; Cryptorefills and Cake Pay have no US figure.

What buyers say in reviews

Buyers at every shop complain about the same thing: codes that never arrive or don't work. Every shop's praise is about speed. No competitor's reviews show something extra that buyers single out.

Key take-aways

  1. Privacy is where rivals win buyers. On "no KYC" and "no account" searches, Cryptorefills and CoinGate come first in AI answers and on most search engines. Bitrefill allows buying without an account, but no page or answer read says so.
  2. Rivals answer Bitrefill's own name. A buyer searching "Bitrefill alternative" meets Cryptorefills' comparison page, and Perplexity cites it. Bitrefill has no page there.
  3. Others buy ads on Bitrefill's name. In the week its app was down, Coinsbee and Cryptorefills bought Google ads aimed at people searching for Bitrefill. Since July, far more outside accounts file ads under bitrefill.com than under any rival's site, and where they lead is not shown.
  4. Other sellers hold the big app shops. Bitrefill is inside the most apps, but Gate and KuCoin buy their cards from Uquid and KryptoMate, and TON Wallet opened its shop with Tokenstore and Boxo. Gate already lists Bitrefill as "Coming Soon".

Who sells gift cards inside the big wallet and exchange apps?

Bitrefill is named inside more apps than any rival, from Binance to Strike, Ledger Live and two Telegram wallets. But Gate and KuCoin buy their cards from two sellers outside these five, Uquid and KryptoMate, and TON Wallet, the wallet built into Telegram, opened its shop with Tokenstore and Boxo. Binance's pages were read from Switzerland; its in-app shop list needs a login, so its public merchant list was read instead. TON Wallet's current app list can be read only inside Telegram.
  • TikTok's ad library has no US filter and did not load. Google keeps no record of where an ad leads.

Strong Gap Neutral or none · Stock read from Seoul, 16 October 2026.

Key take-aways

  1. Baemin is the biggest gap. Food delivery is Korea's largest kind of online spending, and Baemin is its largest app. Bitrefill lists Baemin but has it sold out; Coinsbee has it in stock.
  2. Leaders Bitrefill already lists are sold out, while rivals sell them. Emart in groceries and household goods, and the Lotte and Shinsegae department stores in fashion accessories, are in stock on three rivals each. Restocking needs no new brand.
  3. Travel and computers have no Bitrefill card in stock. Coinsbee sells the travel apps Yeogi Eottae and Socar, and the electronics chains Lotte Hi-Mart and LG Electronics.

Flag worth mentioning

  • Some leaders of growing groups sell a card that shops like Bitrefill cannot carry:
    • Korean Air: its 2026 terms bar buyers from reselling the card; it is sold through Korean Air's own sites and one outside chain, GS25.
    • Ticket sites (NOL, YES24, Melon Ticket, Ticketlink): no card on any of the five shops.
    • Kurly, Musinsa, Hanaro Mart, Costco, Compuzone: no card on any of the five shops.

Korean Air launched its gift card in May 2025. It is still sold in 2026, online, at Korean Air counters, at some GS25 shops and on a business site. Its May 2026 terms bar buyers from reselling it, so a reseller would need a deal with Korean Air or its operator, Galaxia Moneytree.

Bitrefill reaches this group through general culture vouchers: Culture Land and Booknlife, both in stock.

A 2026 ticket guide by Creatrip, which sells tickets itself, names these four sites as where most concerts sell; no source gives their shares. It also says foreign fans' cards are often rejected at checkout (one source, with an interest).

Household goods grow +7.1%

The leaders are Coupang (in stock on Bitrefill), Emart (sold out; in stock on three rivals), Daiso (sold out on every shop) and Hanaro Mart (no card on any shop).

Limits of the data
  • Spending is online only. Spending in shops, cafés and restaurants, where many Korean gift cards are used, is not measured.
  • Sales are whole-company figures unless marked; department-store groups include marts, and Olive Young, Daiso and Emart sell mostly in shops.
  • Stock is one reading, 16 October 2026, from Seoul. To a buyer, a sold-out card works like a missing one.
  • No leading seller was found for phones or for children and baby goods. Cars were left out: no vouchers. Cinema cards are not covered.
  • E-coupon sellers (Kakao Gift, CJ, KT alpha Giftishow) sell vouchers themselves, as Bitrefill does; they are not shown as gaps.

Key take-aways

  1. Coinsbee has the widest Korean offer in stock. It has about five times as many Korean brands in stock as Bitrefill, mostly restaurants and cafés.
  2. Bitrefill has no Korean brand in stock that a rival lacks. Rivals have 102 Korean brands in stock that Bitrefill does not; Bitrefill lists 21 of them but has them sold out.
  3. Bitrefill's multi-brand cards still reach 6 of the 25 growing sellers checked. H.Point reaches Hyundai Department Store; Book & Life reaches Emart, Shinsegae and W Concept after conversion into SSG MONEY (less 8%); Culture Land reaches Lotte Department Store's stores through L.POINT, and is listed for Samsung's Galaxy Store. Baemin and Smile Pay sell their own cards at rivals, not at Bitrefill; whether another Bitrefill card reaches them cannot be confirmed from outside.
  4. Bitrefill's home page showed the Japan store from Seoul. Its Korea store exists, but a visitor from Korea opening bitrefill.com landed in Japan on the day read.

Flag worth mentioning

  • No shop has Korean reviews to lead with. No Korean review dated 2026 was found for any of the five shops, so no rival has an edge on reviews in Korea.

How many people visit each shop from South Korea?

No free source places South Korea among any shop's top five countries, so no shop, Bitrefill included, shows Korea as a main market. No source gives a Korea figure.

Bitrefill reaches some restaurant buyers through the delivery apps it has in stock, Coupang Eats and Yogiyo. Emart, Shinsegae and Lotte Department Store are still reached through Bitrefill's multi-brand cards (see which sellers Bitrefill's cards still reach).

Which sellers do Bitrefill's cards still reach?

Six of the 25 sellers checked, taken from Korea's growing spending groups (see Market Demand). Bitrefill's multi-brand cards reach them directly or after conversion. For the other 19, cover cannot be confirmed from outside: the card issuers' lists of places are closed to outside reading. Bitrefill's own Korea store

Bitrefill has a Korea store with 110 cards, but its home page opened the Japan store from a Seoul connection, and 40 of its 69 Korea cards were sold out.

  • bitrefill.com, opened from Seoul, went to the Japan store ("Bitrefill (Japan)"). The Korea store opens only by its own address, bitrefill.com/kr/.
  • Sold out on the Korea store include Baedal Minjok (Baemin), Emart, Daiso, 7-Eleven, Lotte Department Store, CGV and Coffee Namu.
  • Its sitemap holds Korea card pages that are not on the store's list (Domino's, Lotteria, Mom's Touch, bhc, Goobne, Shinsegae, Ministop). On 22 October the Shinsegae card page sold the card (100,000 won, to be swapped for paper first); the others were not read.
